University Of Michigan Introduces Master Of Health Informatics

Starting in the Fall of 2012 the University of Michigan will begin to offer a Master of Health Informatics program. The new program will be the first of its kind in the state. The School of Public Health and the School of Information are both responsible for providing the master’s program, which focuses quite a lot on consumer health informatics and leadership.

It is estimated that an extra 6,000 professionals within the informatics sector will be required by 2014, according to statistics from the US Bureau of Labor. They project that by 2016 the employment level for health informatics will grow by 16 percent. [Read more...]
