New York Universities Permitted To Self-Insure Students

A new bill that was introduced last month allows four of the largest universities in New York to offer their students health insurance. The aim of the new bill is to help universities provide cheaper health insurance to their students. The four universities eligible to self-insure under the new law are; New York University, Columbia University, the University of Rochester and Cornell University.

Governor Andrew Cuomo, who signed the new bill into law last month, said; “Many colleges require students to have health insurance so that they are protected in case of illness or injury. Time Cloak Invented By Cornell University Scientists

The notion of making objects invisible has been taken to the next level by scientists at the Cornell University. The team has used a device that not only makes individual objects invisible but can make a whole event disappear. The team’s time cloak can actually slow down, or speed up the light that travels through it. Our eyes pick up the flow of light from an object, which is usually a constant flow, but the device used in the recent experiments can slow the light down during travel. [Read more...]

The results show that people, in general, are in a better mood when they first wake up, but during the day their mood worsens. The program works by detecting the type of language used and comparing it at certain times in the day. [Read more...]
