South University is an accredited school, owned by the Education Management Corporation, or ‘EDMC’. Students are able to complete degree courses at associate, bachelor’s and master’s levels. South University was first founded in 1899 by John Draughon and, until 1985, was named Draughon’s Junior College and now occupies a number of campus locations around the US including Georgia, Florida and Texas.
