Pacific Oaks College is a unique accredited institution located in Pasadena, California. The college was started in 1945. The school is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, American Association of Colleges and Universities, Association of Independent Colleges and Universities as well as having membership in the American Association of University Professors.
Student Appeal
Pacific Oaks College is unique in the aspect that it challenges its students to think outside the normal cultural norms. It has a strong anti-bias curriculum and has gone to great lengths to challenge the injustice in society.
The classes of Pacific Oaks College are designed for working adults and as such are offered in a variety of formats. These formats are day, evening, weekends, online as well as week-long. Some programs are offered on a cohort basis in which a group of admitted students move through the program together.
Currently the university offers two programs online, Master of Arts in Human Development and Bachelor of Arts in Human Development (Degree Completion).
The Master of Arts in Human Development is done entirely online and is managed through the Blackboard software. There are a total of three annual starting dates and 31 credits to complete the course. Those who apply for this course much have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Financial Information
Financial aid is offered to those who qualify. Undergraduate students can file for FAFSA as well as other government loans and grants. Graduate students have a list of private and government loans options as well.
